The Tajik State Institute of Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda celebrated Mehrgan on October 21, where representatives of all faculties presented their festive table.
It was noted at the beginning of ceremony by the leadership of the Institute that the traditional Mehrgan holiday was revived at the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. They mentioned that every year, the proud Tajik nation celebrates it with special solemnity as a national holiday.
With thanks from atmosphere of peace, stability, unity and tranquility of the country, guests, teachers and students of the institute welcomed this ancestral holiday with great joy.
Also, the winners of the competition "The best table" were determined, in which the Faculty of Tajik Philology took first place, the Faculty of Asian Languages took second place and the Faculty of European Languages took third place.
It should be noted that in the second part of the festive program for the joy of the audience talented students of the institute presented heartfelt dances and songs.
